Parts of Nampa

Nampa can be broken up into three different parts: Northwest Nampa, Northeast Nampa, and South Nampa. These areas are pretty similar, but there are a few subtle differences that makes these parts of town dynamic and unique.

Northwest Nampa is the area that is west of Interstate 84 and north of Iowa Avenue. This part of Nampa backs up to the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge (Otherwise known as Lake Lowell). Residents in Northwest Nampa can easily access the excitement of the great outdoors without going much farther than their backyards. Northwest Nampa is also home to several community parks and pools as well as some handsomely constructed neighborhoods.

Northeast Nampa is everything to the east of Interstate 84. It is characterized by its elegant new neighborhoods, a golf course, and the Idaho Center (One of the Treasure Valley’s most prestigious open air convention centers). Northeast Nampa is also home to the Nampa City Library and a city pool.

South Nampa is the area of Nampa that is west of Interstate 84 and south of Iowa Avenue. It, like Northeast Nampa has a lot of great neighborhoods. It is also home to two high schools, a few grocery stores, and a handful of city and community parks. Like Northwest Nampa residents, the people of South Nampa are also backed up to Lake Lowell and the Wildlife Refuge, allowing them equally easy access to the Lake and its beauties.
