Community Summary

Eagle, Idaho hasn't always been the suburban paradise it is today, in fact, back in the 1800’s it started out as a someone’s personal farm. Truman C. Catlin, in 1863, came from his home in Illinois and settled on what is now Eagle Island State Park (160 acre state park). After Catlin’s homestead was established, the community of Eagle began to grow; today, Eagle is home to over 20,000 people. Its combination of elegant neighborhoods and rich outdoor connections has made it a popular and luxurious place to live. Eagle is settled on the banks of the Boise River, just south of the Boise Foothills which makes it perfect for quick outdoor getaways; however, since the city also borders Boise itself, residents can also enjoy the amenities of the city with ease. This best-of-both-worlds atmosphere has given Eagle its charming and attractive reputation causing builders from across the Treasure Valley to flock here to do business.

These are a few of the more popular builders that do projects both big and small in Eagle and a short description of what kind of work they do.

Parts of Eagle

Eagle is a very popular city. It is made up of lots of different neighborhoods and communities. The four main divisions of the City of Eagle are South Eagle, West Central Eagle, East Central Eagle, and North Eagle. These parts of town are each different from the others, making Eagle a beautifully diverse city.

South Eagle is the area of the city between Chinden Boulevard and State Street. This area is known for its amazing river front access. The Boise River travels right along State Street, which is great for residents of South Eagle because it allows even those without riverfront property to enjoy the benefits of the water.

West Central Eagle is made up of many great neighborhoods and amenities. One of these is the historic Eagle Island State Park. The Park has places to swim, play, relax, and sightsee. This 160 acre park has everything from playgrounds to rustic old barns as well as river shoot offs for some relaxing time by the water.

East Central Eagle is also home to many great neighborhoods and communities, but is also home to downtown Eagle. This classic stretch of store fronts and open air restaurants is the heart and essence of the culture of the City of Eagle. When you take a trip down the downtown strip you feel its splendid and cozy small town charm, making it one of the more popular places in the city to enjoy a warm afternoon.

North Eagle is everything north of Beacon Light Road. This part of town is dominated by larger properties, ranches, and other rural areas. It is backed up to the majestic Boise Foot Hills allowing residents to easily enjoy them.

Eagle residents can also easily enjoy the amenities of downtown Boise due to their close proximity. If you want to see Eagle Idaho for yourself, contact one of our agents and they will be happy to help you out.
