Fortin Subdivision

Nampa is easily one of the most popular cities in the state. With its low housing costs and great homes, it continues to draw people in every year. One collection of great homes that Nampa has to offer is the Fortin subdivision. It is a small development, but it is serene and convenient none the less. Fortin is located off of Iowa Avenue in southern Nampa and it is a mixed development of building lots and pre-existing homes.

The homes that are already located in the Fortin subdivision are variants of ranch style in design. They usually have an average of 1,500 square feet per unit with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which make them perfect for any kind of comfortable indoor living. These homes are built on lots that are a little less than ⅕ of an acre and the perimeters are usually surrounded by fences. Fences are not surrounding lots that are yet to be built on, however. Attached 2 car garages are usually included with all the homes in Fortin which are usually painted to match the vinyl and stone exteriors of the home.

One of the most predominant amenities that Fortin residents may take advantage of is its serene and relaxing atmosphere. Since Fortin is surrounded by small fields it is not susceptible to the noise that would prevail in the surrounding subdivisions that lie just a half mile or so away.

Residents of Fortin are not far from downtown Nampa which means they can easily take advantage of the shopping, dining, and entertainment that is abundant there. It is also close to other parts of the city that are home to businesses that provide thousands of jobs for the community. However, for other sorts of recreation, residents can go to the banks of Lake Lowell which are only a mile or so to the west.

Nampa is a fantastic city-- a true jewel. It is one of the few remaining cities in the Western United States that not only feels like it is on the edge of the wilderness while still having many of the amenities of home. Nampa has many outdoor activities within only a few miles from downtown and is also home to shopping centers of all kinds. Visitors to Nampa can also enjoy large events at the Idaho Center which is the largest outdoor event center in the valley-- large enough to rival the Western Idaho Fairgrounds.
